Tension in Kebbi as Armed Men Abduct Deputy Speaker Muhammad Isma’ila

Gunmen have abducted the Kebbi State Deputy Speaker, Muhammadu Isma’ila in his hometown of Bagudo. Isma’ila represents Bagudo East State Constituency in the House of Assembly.

A gang of armed bandits stormed Bagudo town, in Bagudo LGA of Kebbi State, and abducted the Deputy Speaker, to an unknown destination, shortly after he observed Isha’i prayers and was on his way to the house.

Meanwhile, the Police say a team of joint security operatives has been deployed for search and rescue operations.

The Kebbi State Police Command spokesperson, Nafiu Abubakar appealed to members of the public to remain vigilant and continue supporting Police operations for peace and stability to be maintained.
