Most Wanted Terrorist Kalamu Killed By Troops In Sokoto State
Troops of the Nigerian Military have reportedly killed one of the country’s most wanted terrorists and kidnapping kingpins, identified as Kalamu.
According to military sources quoted by Vanguard, the wanted terrorist was killed during a Special Forces operation conducted by the 8 Division of the Nigerian Army in Sokoto on Monday.
Naija News understands that his death sparked celebrations across several communities in the Sabon Birni Local Government Area of the state.
Kalamu was said to have been responsible for several kidnappings in the area before he met his Waterloo at the hands of the military forces.
According to reports, he was killed alongside other terrorists during the operation by the military troops.
It was gathered that the troops of the 8 Division launched a daring offensive against terrorists who were planning to attack Tara Village in Sabon Birni local government area, which resulted in a heavy gun duel, and the death of 11 terrorists.
According to sources, “In the early hours of Monday, 8 December 2025, 8 Division Special Forces stormed a bandits’ hideout around Kurawa Village, Sabon Birni LGA. The terrorists were planning an attack on Tara Village, which was successfully foiled. Troops neutralized 11 terrorists and recovered 8 AK-47 rifles, 5 extra magazines, and 26 rounds of 7.62mm ammunition.”
