Kwankwaso has notified APC of his return alongside Kano Gov – Joe Igbokwe claims

A Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Joe Igbokwe says the former presidential candidate of the New Nigerian Peoples Party, NNPP, Rabiu Kwankwaso has reportedly written to the ruling party, notifying it of his possible return.
Igbokwe said the NNPP leader may return alongside the Kano State Governor, Abba Yusuf.
In a post on his Facebook page, Igbokwe expressed optimism that the more people defect to the ruling party, the better it is.
He wrote, “I hear that HE Kwankwaso has written to the APC National Chairman, expressing his desire for himself and Abba to return to the APC. The more the better”.
DAILY POST cannot authoritatively confirm the claim as at press time as efforts to reach Kwankwaso’s camp proved unsuccessful.
However, there has been indication that the former Kano State Governor may dump NNPP for APC ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
According to Vanguard, Kwankwaso on Saturday, declared that himself and his supporters are now ready to join the ruling APC.
However, Kwankwaso warned that his political movement will not allow itself to be used to win elections and then be abandoned afterwards.
