A member of the House of Representatives, Ikenga Ugochinyere Imo has given a hint on the possibility that he might be dumping his party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Imo, who represents Ideato North and South Federal Constituency of Imo State gave this hint on Thursday, November 13.

He, however, did not indicate which political party he would be joining following his possible resignation from the PDP.

Speaking on the floor of the plenary, Imo said he had a dream the past night about some political movements that could shape the nation’s polity.

“Mr Speaker, this night while I was sleeping I saw in my dream, this movement that happened.

“But I also saw a big elephant that was coming into town and I asked What is this elephant about? And they said it may end up being the only political party that may save all of us from what is going to happen,” Imo said.

He also informed the speaker and his colleagues that he was currently making strong political consultations on the matter.

“Mr Speaker, I am consulting and I am going to consult you very soon because the way the umbrella is today, is very frightening, Mr Speaker,” the lawmaker added.

Reacting to his submission, the speaker of the House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas asked whether he was submitting a petition on the matter to the Green Chamber.

In his response, Imo let out a laugh while continuing with the process of introducing himself to his colleagues as demanded by the House rules.
