BREAKING: 62-Year-Old Woman, Ayinda Dauda, Fatally Stabbed by Wheelbarrow Pusher in Kaduna

Residents of Kurmin Gwari in Kaduna South Local Government Area were thrown into mourning on Friday after a 62-year-old woman, Ayinda Dauda, was brutally stabbed to death by a wheelbarrow pusher who often assisted her on market days.

The incident, which occurred around 12:30 p.m. on September 12, was reported by security analyst Zagazola Makama on his X handle the following day. Eyewitnesses said the assailant attacked the victim with a knife before dispossessing her of cash, a mobile phone, and other valuables, after which he fled the scene.

Dauda was rushed to A.P. Smart Hospital for emergency treatment but was later pronounced dead by medical personnel. Her grieving family declined an autopsy, insisting on immediate release of her body for burial.

Confirming the attack, police authorities said investigations are underway, and efforts are ongoing to track down the fleeing suspect.

The shocking murder has sparked outrage among locals, who described the victim as a well-known community figure. Security operatives have urged residents to remain calm and assist with credible information that could lead to the suspect’s arrest.
