Calvin Bassey has allayed fears he sustained an injury in Fulham’s 2-0 loss to Everton at the Hill Dickinson Stadium on Saturday.
Bassey picked a knock in the keenly contested encounter.
There were concerns the centre-back could miss Nigeria’s 2026 FIFA World Cup playoffs.
The 25-year-old has, however, said he has no fitness issue.
“This game we knew it was gonna be a fight. Beto, Barry, they’re fighters, they make life difficult for you so we were prepared. I got a little knock but I’m fine,” Bassey told SportyTV after the match.
The Super Eagles will take on Panthers of Gabon in the semi-final of the playoffs on Thursday.
