Arsenal, Burnley Win — Aston Villa Shock Manchester City

Arsenal reclaimed top spot in the Premier League table after a narrow 1-0 win over Crystal Palace at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday, October 26.

The Gunners had to grind out the victory, with Eberechi Eze’s 39th-minute strike proving decisive as Mikel Arteta’s side held firm to secure three crucial points.

The win saw Arsenal maintain their impressive run, extending their unbeaten streak and tightening their grip on first place in the Premier League ahead of Bournemouth, who also picked up a vital win.

At Villa Park, Aston Villa continued their remarkable home form by beating defending champions Manchester City 1-0. Matty Cash’s 19th-minute effort was enough to sink Pep Guardiola’s men, who struggled to break down a disciplined Villa side. The result leaves City’s title chase under growing pressure after another setback on the road.

Meanwhile, at Molineux Stadium, Burnley produced one of the weekend’s biggest upsets with a thrilling 3-2 victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers. Zian Flemming struck twice in the 14th and 30th minutes to give Burnley an early cushion before Jacob Sørensen Larsen converted a penalty for Wolves in the 42nd minute.

Marshall Munetsi restored Burnley’s two-goal lead deep into first-half stoppage time, and despite Lyle Foster’s late strike in the 95th minute, the visitors held on to claim all three points.

Elsewhere, Bournemouth continued their strong form with a comfortable 2-0 win over Nottingham Forest at the Vitality Stadium. Marcus Tavernier opened the scoring in the 25th minute, and young forward E.J. Kroupi doubled the lead before halftime.

Later on Sunday evening, Everton were set to host Tottenham Hotspur at Hill Dickinson Stadium, with both sides aiming to climb into the top half of the table.

As it stands, Arsenal are topping the Premier League table with 22 points, followed by Bournemouth, Sunderland, and Manchester City. Wolves remain rooted to the bottom, still searching for their first win of the season.
