Bandits Flee Katsina Military Raid: One Dead, One Injured

A fatal accident claimed one life as armed bandits fled after troops and police foiled their attack on two communities in Katsina State.
Security analyst, Zagazola Makama revealed this in a post shared on X on Friday.
According to the post, the incident happened around 3:25 a.m. on Thursday when bandits invaded Awari Yashe and Sararawa villages in Kusada Local Government Area.
Troops of Operation FANSAN YANMA, working with the police and Community Watch patrol teams, responded quickly and engaged the attackers in a gun battle.
During the clash, a 40-year-old resident, Sama’ila Dahiru, sustained gunshot injuries, while the bandits rustled an unspecified number of livestock.
While escaping through the Gidan Mutun Daya–Kofa highway, the fleeing bandits caused a road accident that left one unidentified victim dead.
Makama added that all victims were taken to the General Hospital in Kankia, where the deceased was confirmed dead by a medical doctor.
Security patrols have since been reinforced in the area to track down the attackers and recover the stolen animals.
