NPFL: Kano Pillars fired up for derby with Barau FC

Kano Pillars are gearing up for the matchday nine encounter against Barau FC, DAILY POST reports.

The Sai Masu Gida will lock horns with the Maliya Boys in the Kano derby at the Sani Abacha Stadium on Sunday.

This will be the first-ever meeting between the two teams in the NPFL, adding an element of unpredictability to the highly anticipated derby.

Barau FC, who occupy bottom spot on the table have recorded just one win in the NPFL this season.

Kano Pillars have also endured a poor start to the season.

Evans Ogenyi’s side occupy 17th position on the NPFL table with eighth points.

“Focused and fired up!,” Kano Pillars wrote on X.

“The Sai Masu Gida continued their intensive training session today as preparations hit top gear ahead of our next NPFL fixture, the energy, determination and team spirit remain high in camp!.”
