World Cup qualifiers: Top 5 highest-paid African national team coaches

Amid the ongoing 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers, the top five highest-paid African national team coaches have been revealed.

Coach of the Algeria national football team, Vladimir Petkovic, is currently the highest-paid African national team coach.

According to Sporty TV, the 62-year-old Bosnian and Herzegovinian gaffer is being paid 1.6 million euros by the Algerian football federation.

Petkovic, who has already qualified Algeria for the World Cup following their 3-0 win against Somalia, is ahead of the likes of Aliou Cisse and Hugo Broos.

Cisse and Broos both earn 912,000 euros as coaches of Libya and South Africa, respectively.

Petkovic (Algeria) – 1.6million euros.

Aliou Cisse (Libya) – 912 000 euros.

Hugo Broos (South Africa) – 912,000 euros.
