Speaking on behalf of the groups during a voice endorsement by a large crowd in Chugwi community, Bitrus Dido said, “On behalf of the coalition of PDP groups, elders, women, and youths of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Chugwi Ward, Vwang District of Jos South Local Government Area, Plateau State, we are gathered here today to reaffirm our solidarity and express our heartfelt appreciation to the Executive Governor of Plateau State, His Excellency, Barr. Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang our People’s Governor for the remarkable transformation his administration has brought to rural communities across Plateau within just two years in office.
“We are immensely proud to identify with our dynamic Governor whose people-centered leadership is anchored on transparency, accountability, inclusiveness, and service to humanity, a government that is truly recovering and rebuilding Plateau State into the pride of the nation.
According to him, “In these two years, His Excellency has matched words with action, translating campaign promises into tangible achievements that cut across every sector of our economy.
“Here in Chugwi Ward, we have not only witnessed, but also directly benefited from his vision and commitment to improving the quality of life of our people:
Speaking on the transportation sector, Dido said, “With the introduction of Metro buses, including routes serving Vwang District, our people now enjoy safer, more accessible, and affordable transport.
In the healthcare sector, he maintained that, “Clinics in rural communities, including those in Chugwi, have been renovated, while the Plateau Specialist Hospital has been transformed into a top-tier medical facility. Through PLASCHEMA, women, children, and the elderly now have access to affordable healthcare.
On infrastructural development, Dido said, “Road projects are ongoing across all three senatorial zones, and we are delighted that roads in Vwang District, including Chugwi, are also set to benefit.
In the area of education, he said, “The construction of classroom blocks in Dandyes, Heita, and other communities this administration’s dedication to human capital development.
He also said Agriculture, youth empowerment, tourism, and rural development have also received significant and deliberate attention since the Inception of the current administration in the State.
Speaking further, he said, “We are grateful that Chugwi Ward has not been left behind in this vision. Our son, Dr. Gyang Bere, was appointed Special Assistant on Media and later elevated to Director of Press and Public Affairs, a source of pride to us all.
“We also appreciate the appointment of our father, Hon. Peter Vwang Dung, who served as Transition Implementation Committee Chairman of Jos South LGA. Under his stewardship, our community benefited from projects such as the completion of the Chugwi Community Hall, the Dandyes, Hwon electrification project, and various empowerment initiatives.
He further stated that the Mutfwang’s administration has equally rekindled unity and inclusion in their communities.
“Women have been empowered through numerous schemes.
“A new electric transformer installed at Dalyoho has lit up several communities in Chugwi Ward. Effort is being made to ensure effective functioning of the transformer and by the grace of God, many more projects are still unfolding.
“In the light of these visible and verifiable achievements in restoring trust, peace, unity, and development across Plateau State, it is both a privilege and an honour for me, Bitrus Dido, on behalf of the good people of Chugwi Ward, to formally move a motion for the endorsement of His Excellency, Barr. Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, and his capable Deputy, Her Excellency, Ngo Josephine Piyo, for a second term in office in the forthcoming 2027 governorship election.
The motion was seconded by the mammoth crowd in the community.
Responding, the Director of Press and Public Affairs to the governor, Dr Gyang Bere, thanked them for the endorsement.
Adding that, “This is a testament of what the present administration is doing in the State.
